We aim to offer quality food options that assist students to make healthy food choices for good nutrition, healthy growth and development, and energy to learn.
Most of our menu is freshly prepared on the day, 'homemade' means we make it in our tuckshop. The ingredients are carefully chosen, with a focus on additive-free, variety, quality, and freshness. As a result, our food is delicious!
We welcome our parents, carers, grandparents, and community to volunteer in the tuckshop.

Ordering
- Pre-order meals BEFORE 9:00am for 1st and 2nd break
- Orders are through the Qkr! App.
- Orders placed after 9am will only have access to the late lunch menu.
· If you are collecting your child early for any reason, the parent is responsible to contact the tuckshop convenor to discuss the order (e.g. Take food home if ready or make an alternative arrangement.)
· If you have pre-ordered your child's lunch and they happen to be away, it is the parent's responsibility to contact the tuckshop convenor to make alternative arrangements.
· Failure to notify the tuckshop convenor on or prior too when the order is made, the order will become null and void. No refunds will be issued.
· Gluten Free options available on request.
Allergies
If your child has a food allergy, please use the Notes section on Qkr! to select Alert and the appropriate allergy or write on the paper bag:
*ALERT* (eg: *ALERT* EGG) on your child's order bag or as indicated for online orders
Download the QKR! app by Mastercard for Apple External link or Android External link and search for 'Calliope State School'. QKR! orders can be placed 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Qkr! is the only method for tuckshop ordering. Download the Qkr! app on the App Store to your iPhone / iPad or get it on Google Play to your Android devices. Orders can be made up to two weeks in advance and there is no cost for parent's to use this service.
Breakfast Club
CSS Breakfast Club provides students with a healthy breakfast to ensure they are ready to concentrate and learn.
Breakfast Club operates each school morning, from 8:30am to 9:00am.
The children are offered a healthy breakfast of Cereal (Weet-Bix, Nutra grain, Corn Flakes), fresh seasonal fruit and a cup of Milk or Juice.
Breakfast Club is a wonderful service offered to any child who has missed breakfast at home or is simply feeling hungry before school. This program is open to the whole school. It is also great to see the social interaction that takes place each morning.
CSS Breakfast Club is managed by the schools P&C and requires assistance from volunteers to run of a morning.
